Introduction

Family Fund (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use the Family Fund mobile application (the “App”).

Information We Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information to our servers.

All data you enter into Family Fund, including:

  • Children’s names and graduation dates
  • Fund balance and contribution amounts
  • Contributor information
  • Financial projections and forecasts
  • Any other data entered into the App

…is stored exclusively on your device or in your personal Apple iCloud account via CloudKit.

How Your Data is Stored

Local Storage

Data is stored locally on your iPhone or iPad using Apple’s secure storage mechanisms.

iCloud Storage (Optional)

If you enable iCloud syncing in your device settings, your Family Fund data will be stored in your personal iCloud account using Apple’s CloudKit service. This allows you to:

  • Sync data across your Apple devices
  • Backup your information
  • Restore data if you get a new device

Important: Your iCloud data is subject to Apple’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. We do not have access to your iCloud account or data stored there.

Data We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect, store, access, or share:

  • Personal identification information
  • Financial account information
  • Device identifiers or location data
  • Usage analytics or tracking data
  • Cookies or similar tracking technologies
  • Any information about you or your device

Third-Party Services

Family Fund does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. We do not share your data with any third parties because we do not have access to your data.

The App uses Apple’s CloudKit for optional cloud syncing. Your use of CloudKit is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy, available at: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/

Data Security

Since all data is stored on your device or in your personal iCloud account:

  • Your data is protected by your device’s security features (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID)
  • iCloud data is encrypted both in transit and at rest
  • We recommend keeping your device and iCloud account secure with a strong password
  • We recommend enabling two-factor authentication on your Apple ID

Your Control Over Your Data

You have complete control over your data:

  • Delete Data: You can delete all app data by deleting the app from your device
  • Export Data: You can view all data within the app
  • iCloud Control: You can enable or disable iCloud syncing in your device Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Family Fund

Children’s Privacy

While Family Fund is designed to help families track children’s graduation dates, the App is intended for use by adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect any information from children. All data about children (names, dates) is entered by adult users and stored only on their devices or personal iCloud accounts.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:

  • Posting the new Privacy Policy in the App
  • Updating the “Last Updated” date
  • Providing notice through the App Store update notes

Your Rights

Since we do not collect or store your data on our servers, there is no data for us to access, modify, or delete on your behalf. You maintain full control over your data through your device and iCloud account.
